The key is producing programming content that has the highest order of meaning for most listeners in the context of the value principles that are most important to them. The most important value principles involve having principled purposes, principled values, and principled ideas.
This program, Conversations with Jean Feraca, aired this morning, Tuesday, February 24, 1998, statewide on, The Ideas Network of Wisconsin Public Radio. I had a real problem trying to follow the guest Richard Thieme's, drift on his topic of discussion, "Quest for Meaning." A real life, living context is essential toward the achievement of a legitimate "Quest for Meaning."For example, freedom without justice lacks a meaningful workable relationship balance—there can be no freedom without justice in this relationship equation. There can be no genuine meaningfulness without a context of the differing levels of good and/or evil, as laid out in the following passages. In addition, political and economic systems, policies, and practices can only produce meaningful benefits when they incorporate equity of opportunity in all relationships. These component principles are essential to any "Quest for a Higher Order of Meaning," and thus, a higher quality of meaning, life and living, for all human beings.
A starting point should be a higher principled order of meaning in values in the context of the highest level of, mutual equity of opportunity to benefit in all: systems, policies, institutions, and practices in all human relationships. In all human relationships we must have, guiding principles to direct human behavior in meaningful quests. These principle centered systems, policies, and laws, are the source or resource, for any legitimate Quest for meaning in all of our living relationships.
The principle in our present "capitalism model" is—zero-sum win/lose, rather than, a mutual win/win opportunity equity relationship equation. The meaning here is that these two principles are diametric opposites in the consequences of their policy results. There could be no greater differences in the meaningfulness of the consequences to individual human beings. This human relationship equation remains the same whether you are dealing with two human beings or, 5.8 billion human beings. What is the total meaningful value difference to the entire human community—multiply the difference in the meaningful value consequences by 5.8 billion human beings.
When corporations and other large entities control the establishment of systems, policies, and law, the citizenry has no means with which to implement meaningful changes. As long as the people allow the elected representatives to license nearly all of broadcast media to the corporate class, or, do not reform campaign finance there can be no opportunity for a legitimate quest for a mutual meaningfully beneficial change.
Only higher ordered principled ideas will fulfill humanities quest for a more meaningful living experience. These higher order of principles will represent a world of meaningful difference in every dimension of our living existence: mental, spiritual, psychological, and emotional. This is largely because of a diametrical change in relationship standing between classes of people. If you want earthquake shaking, ideas consider the effects and affects of these empowering changes in the human relationship condition, from a hostile zero-sum win/lose relationship to a complimentary mutual win/win human relationship equation.
It is time to implement some new, mutually meaningful, equal economic opportunity options into all human relationship equations. This includes all of the "REAL POLITICAL ISSUES," that involve human relationship standings. There can be "no quest for meaning" for those majority classifications of human beings that are excluded from access to the powerful resources of broadcast communications.
