 Prairie du Chien Rifle Range

The Rifle and Pistol Range is located on Mill Coulee Road, Two (2) Miles North of Cabela's. 

This is a good 200 yard range - The four target ranges start at 25-yds, 50, 100, and 200-yds

I usually shoot at the 200-yd targets that is in the shadows at the end of the range. It is important to get use to the longer shooting range.

There was talk of setting up a moving deer and/or coyote target to provide the members with some practice.  That could lead to some friendly shooting competition. It is very important to develop sufficient shooting skills on moving game to dispatch a wounded trophy animal before it reaches heavy cover and is lost.  Develop your shooting skills on running game:

Going North from Cabela's Mill Coulee Road is on the right just past the Mill Coulee Angus Farm which is also on your right.

If you raise beef cattle, --combine a trip to Cabela's with a visit with the Pedretti brothers, Mark and Tracy.
Drive two (2) miles north of Cabela's on Hwy 35.  You can't miss the Angus, the sign, and the farm.
Mill Coulee Angus Farm is a Dominant Producer of Bull Test Winning Angus over all breeds and crosses.
