Global Economic Policy Making Priorities

with Darrell Udelhoven, Empowerment Communications

This is my response to -- World Bank Group President James D. Wolfensohn's address [October 6, 1998] to the International Monetary Fund

Mr. Wolfensohn, your focus should have been on the flawed fundamentals of global economic policy that has produced these horrific global economic failures

While I admired your newly found insights concerning the allowing of the countries to control their own economic destinies, you ignored the causal source origins of our global economic problems. Not only have we been allowing global corporations to control economic policymaking but also we have allowed them to destroy economic competitive parity. This is a result of permitting corporations to exploit the unreconcilable production cost differentials between countries.

The mere treating of the symptomatic consequences of grossly flawed economic policies will do little to remedy this perilous situation. Our collective incompetence is no excuse we must cut to the chase and remedy the widespread economic decimation caused by our existing policies.

The 2000 Political Campaigns should be Focused on these Critical Global Issues

It is clear that Republicans only want to destroy Democrats while the desperate Real Political Issue needs of the world citizenry are seldom addressed. Tearing down political opponents does not permit valuable broadcast time allocations to be used toward educating about the real  win win solutions to their economic problems.   We need global policies that result in stable, sustainable economies, worldwide. However, the focus has been on the horse race and on personal attacks. Lord please open minds so the people will see the reality of what is occurring.
