The Radio Deregulation Debacle

The deregulation of radio station ownership has lead to a massive consolidation and an economic class interest monopoly of broadcasting. What about the public interest. Well, the Federal Communications Commission and politicians seem to agree - the public interest be damned. It should be as convenient for the general public to receive the viewpoints of labor and homeland operating small business and industry as it is to access the corporate interest viewpoint.

Half-truths are Worse than Full Fledged Lies

President Clinton’s misleading statements are typical of the half truth lying that is a constant menu served to the public by the corporate owned self-interest radio station broadcaster’s. Misleading half-truths that are loaded with convincing factual content that distorts the reality of the situation is commonly successful.

Serving the Public Interest - what are the Solution Options?

First, it is impossible for a powerful single politico-economic interest class to serve the general public "politico-economic" interest, convenience, and necessity. Second, deregulation does not produce competition to produce programming to meet the genuine politico-economic information needs of the entire citizenry.

In order to provide the public with convenient access to those fundamental information requisites the FCC should require broadcast licensees to provide sovereign access to broadcast time by dually licensed advocates for the general public interest, convenience, and necessity.

Why, the Total Commercialization of the Public owned Broadcast Frequencies?

The most important mass communications resource we have in the world today should be used to the mutual benefit of all of the people, and not merely on behalf of a singular classes interests'.

How could we have allowed the commercialization bastardization of these most valuable facilitators of a democratic political process?

The broadcasting frequencies are owned by the general public but are licensed by the FCC to private interests' to use for profit making commercial purposes. There are no sovereign access rights to broadcast time for the employees and homeland business and industry to mass communicate their mutual politico-economic interests to each other and to the world at large.

A Powerful Lobby is Working to have the Government Auction off all the Broadcast Frequencies

The most valuable facilitator of a democratic governing process is being about to be put in the hands of wealthy Transnational Corporations. This will eliminate all of the other politico-economic class interests' from any possible sovereign or other broadcast time access.

The Homeland Politico-Economic Interest Classes Worldwide must have the Right to Utilize Global Satellite Broadcasting Facilities

Commercial interests should never be allowed the right or the power to trump the the public interest' of the rightful owners of their public resource broadcast frequencies!

The Facilitating of the Process of Self-government by the People

The most valuable use of the public owned broadcast frequencies is to facilitate the process of self-government by the people.
